City Project Details
Prep and stain 400 feet of split rail fence, 30 benches, and a dozen picnic tables. Remove loose stain by hand with a wire brush. Fence stain is a cedar color, while benches and picnic tables are a red color. Brush cutting is also needed along trails near the park (including Murdock Canal tributory trails), waterfall, and areas not addressed in recent years including the bathroom area. A few power tools may be used under close supervision especially if children are present. Pruners are preferred for safety. The city will provide stain. Volunteers should wear clothing that will protect from brush and stain. In other words, long pants, shirts, and gloves that are dispensible. Volunteers can bring pruners, shears, and wheelbarrows.
