National Day of Service

We can connect hearts, transform lives and foster a sense of belonging for everyone. Come join us in volunteering.

Our Core Initiatives

Join us for the National Day of Service 9/11 on September 13, 2025, as North Utah County community comes together to enhance our cities and support those in need! The day begins at 8:30 AM with an Opening Ceremony at Lone Peak High School, featuring a flag raising and a tribute to law enforcement, military, first responders, and the victims and survivors of 9/11. City projects kick off at 9:00 AM, while hands-on service stations at Lone Peak High School run from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, offering diverse opportunities to make a difference—sign up today to be part of this meaningful effort!

United Hearts

We will unite diverse communities in collaborative service projects by fostering compassion and strengthening bonds in the spirit of post-9/11 solidarity. This initiative encourages collective action to build resilient, connected communities in remembrance of the day.

Honoring Heros

We will pay tribute to 9/11 first responders, military personnel, and victims and survivors through acts of gratitude and service. It will commemorate their bravery and selflessness with meaningful recognition.

Hands of Service

We hope to inspire tangible volunteer efforts, such as food bank support, community cleanups, and gathering and assembling needed supplies to honor 9/11 through positive action. It transforms grief into impactful community betterment.

Food Drive

September 9/6, Saturday, 9:00am-12pm

On September 6th, a community-wide food drive will take place, with the Stake Center serving as the central drop-off location. Leading up to the event, Primary children from each ward will distribute flyers to every home in their neighborhood. These flyers will inform residents of the drive and request donations, which will be collected (September 6th) via door-to-door pickup or can be dropped off directly at the church parking lot (850 N 900 E, American Fork).

To ensure smooth coordination, a contact person will be assigned in each ward. This individual will help communicate logistics and organize efforts locally. Flyers will be provided in advance, and the Primary will handle distribution, while YM/YW will knock doors to notify households about the pickup. Then 10 minutes later, YM/YW runners will gather donations and deliver them to the Stake Center parking lot, which has been approved for use as the official drop-off point.
